A man has been found dead after a crash between Raetihi and Ohakune on Saturday morning.
Police said they were told about the crash on Raeithi-Ohakune Rd at 7.55am, but believed the crash happened earlier in the day.
The man was dead when police arrived and what they understood to be a single-vehicle crash.
The road was closed while the serious crash unit investigated, but reopened Saturday afternoon.
